Jonathan Jeter is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ascend Garden. His experience and background is in overseeing the fundraising and grantmaking operations as the Director of the Wharton County Junior College Foundation. He is responsible for securing grants, organizing fundraising events, as well as guiding the scholarship program of the Foundation. This work requires building relationships with strategic partners; stewarding financial investments and individual donations; coordinating strategic direction with the Board of Directors; and building a cultural community awareness with various stakeholders. Jonathan is also certified as a Practitioner for TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) and has recently completed the Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Program through the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to this position, Jonathan, a licensed child-care administrator, served as the Executive Director of Triple 7 Ranch, a residential treatment center that serves abused and neglected teenage boys. Jonathan has a long history of working in non-profit leadership and helping abused and neglected children, ages 5 to age 22. In his fourteen years in this field, he has managed programmatic and clinical staff; directed and managed start-up treatment centers and obtained proper licensing and contracts; successfully secured grants and funding; managed organizational accreditation and developed on-site educational programs.
Jonathan received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center, and he is currently pursuing his Global Leadership Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas with concentrations in International Business and Finance.
